Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark index for Indian
equities markets on Monday was trading in the red in afternoon session.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the BSE, which opened at 17,047.87 points, was ruling 17,072.56 points in the afternoon trade, down 0.13 percent or 21.95 points from its previous close at 17,094.51 points.
The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was trading 0.09 percent down at 5,202.55 points.
The midcap index of the BSE was up 0.27 percent while the smallcap index was ruling 0.20 percent higher.
